Discover the power of apps and tools. Next Previous. Zoom for Slack Slack is all about bringing teams together, and collaboration often requires face-to-face meetings. Before getting started Confirm your Zoom and Slack accounts are linked to the same email address.

Sign in to Zoom. Find the Slack listing in the Zoom Marketplace. Visit the Zoom app page in the Slack App Directory. Send the message. All members of the channel or direct message will see a prompt to join. If you scroll further down the page you can also download the apps for your smartphone or tablet. It should open a new tab or window. Click the “open Zoom” pop-up or “click here” if that doesn’t appear and follow the instructions to join the meeting with the app.

If you want to join in your browser rather than downloading an app you can click “join from your browser” at the bottom of the screen. This makes it a better experience for everyone and will allow you to view any resources being shared in the call, such as a presentation.

Dialling in with mobile should be saved as a last resort, especially as some meetings may not support it. We will now go through the steps in more detail below:.

STEP ONE Sign into your Zoom account using your username and password – it will need to be a paid account, or you will need to upgrade your account to allow phone calls to join.
